Two installation methods are indicated, depending on whether your vehicle is equipped with Side Assist (blind spot assist) or not.
For Audi without the Side Assist (Blind Spot Detection) function
1. No removal of the mirror glass is necessary.
There are no screws on the mirror housings, they are simply held on by clips.
2. Unclip the covers
Use your plastic pry tool to unclip the rearview mirror cover from its frame. Start on the outside and work your way towards the inside of the car:

For Audi with the Side Assist function (Blind Spot Detection)
1. Removing the rearview mirror glass
- Adjust the mirror glass as much as possible inwards using the mirror adjustment motor.
- Using the plastic tool, pry the glass off. Be careful to apply force as close as possible to the retaining clips (i.e., in the center) and not to force it too much at the edge, as this could break it:


- Once the glass is unclipped, carefully detach the heating and auto-dimming wires, and set the mirror glass aside.
2. Access to the screws
Two Torx T10 screws hold the mirror covers in place, as illustrated below:

3. Separation of the rearview mirror cover
Use your plastic pry tool to unclip the rearview mirror cover from its frame. Start on the outside and work your way towards the inside of the car:

4. Unclip the Side Assist connector and indicator light

Proceed in the reverse order of disassembly:
1. Side Assist
Reinstallation of the blind spot indicator and its connector on the new mirror housings.
2. Attaching the rearview mirror covers
Place the mirror cover in position and push it firmly to engage the clips. Secure it with the two screws you removed.
3. Reconnecting the wires
Connect the heating and auto-dimming wires to the rearview mirror glass. Ensure that the two plastic grooves on the mirror fit into the metal clips inside the mirror housing.
4. Securing the rearview mirror glass
Push the ice firmly with the palm of your hand to reconnect it to the motor, pushing from the center of the ice.
5. Verification
Check that the mirror adjusts as usual and you're all set.
