Estimated duration: 15 to 20 minutes
Tools needed:
- T20 Torx
- T30 Torx
- A small flathead screwdriver or a lever (you can find these tools at Facom, KS Tools, Stanley stores…)
📋 Detailed steps:
1. Open the hood and remove the rubber seal
Locate the hood seal , situated at the front of the engine compartment. Carefully remove it by pulling from one side to the other to access the screws at the top of the bumper.

2. Unscrew the top screws
There are 8 Torx screws in total to remove (the total number varies depending on your model):
- 6 T30 screws (3 on each side)
- 2 T20 screws , located above each headlight
Put them aside in a small container to avoid losing them.

3. Loosen the top of the bumper
Once the screws are removed, gently pull the top of the bumper forwards , without lifting it upwards. This prevents breaking the metal clips located behind it.
The bumper is flexible enough to allow your hand or a tool to pass between it and the grilles.

4. Access the grilles
Gently pull on the outer corners of the bumper to gain some flexibility. It's often easier to start with the outermost grille (especially if you have large hands).
5. Unclip the old grilles
Using your flathead screwdriver or lever , push on the locking tabs located behind the grille:
- 3 clips at the top
- 3 clips at the bottom
- 1 clip on each side
💡 For the lower clips (facing the ground), use your fingers if the space is too narrow for a tool.

6. Remove the first grid
Once unclipped, gently pull the grille outwards. The clear opening will make it easier to access the second one.

7. Install your new grilles
Position the new grille opposite the slots, then gently push until you hear a click . Run your hand all around the frame to check that all the clips are properly engaged .
🧼 Tip: Wipe with a microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints.
8. Reposition the bumper and screw it back on.
Slide the top of the bumper back into place, properly aligning the metal clips .
Screw the 8 Torx screws back in, but before tightening, check that the gap between the bumper and the bodywork is symmetrical on both sides. Adjust if necessary.
🎉 9. Admire the result!
Your new Euro Racing Parts grilles are now installed! A more aggressive and premium look for your BMW, in just a few minutes.
